White Ferns Squad with Ruben Wiki & RLWC centre
Ruben Wiki and the Rugby League Museum hosted some very special
guests this week when the NZ Womens Cricket Team, the White Ferns
came to visit. Two members of the squad have links to Rugby League;
Katie Perkins is a member of NZRL administrative team and Katie
Martin is the daughter of South Island Zone General Manager Steve
Martin.
Ruben spoke with the group about the importance of playing for
your country and what pulling on the Kiwis jersey meant to him.
White Ferns Captain Suzy Bates replied, thanking him for his
support and saying it was really great to be reminded about what
the jersey means and what they're playing for, she then
presented Ruben with their Vice Captains shirt.
